From Strength to Success: My Journey with Taekwondo

About Jezlian A Generoso

"Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be part of something great? To be part of a community that supports each other, that pushes each other to be better and achieve their goals? That's what taekwondo did for me. It all started because of my sister. She introduced me to the sport and I just continued. And I'm so glad I did.

Taekwondo gave me so much more than just a physical activity. I made many friends and good memories. My parents supported me throughout my journey and seeing them proud of my achievements was priceless. But it wasn't always easy. It took persistence and dedication to listen to my coach and train hard. And the hard work paid off.

I won a medal in Palarong bikol 2024, a moment that I will always cherish. Taekwondo also taught me valuable life skills. Jogging in the morning and afternoon not only improved my physical fitness, but also my mental clarity. Knowing how to get along and be strategic helped me in my personal relationships and in my professional career.

Being a leader to a team and a team player are skills that are essential in any aspect of life. And one unexpected effect of taekwondo was the improvement in my grades in school. The discipline and focus that I learned from taekwondo translated into my academic life, and I saw a significant improvement in my grades.

So to anyone who is looking for a way to improve themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally, I highly recommend trying taekwondo. It's a journey that is challenging but incredibly rewarding. And who knows, you might just surprise yourself with what you can achieve."
